Where to withdraw money without fees in Vietnam?

Traveling in Vietnam and wondering how to withdraw cash without paying high ATM fees?
Good news: several Vietnamese banks allow free withdrawals, or charge very low fees — but you must know which ATMs to use and how to avoid dynamic currency conversion (DCC).

In this guide, we share the best banks to withdraw money for free, updated withdrawal fees, maximum withdrawal amounts, and essential tips to avoid hidden charges.

Important Tip Before Withdrawing in Vietnam

When the ATM asks:

“Do you accept the conversion rate?”
Always select NO.

If you refuse the conversion, you are charged using your home bank’s exchange rate, which is always cheaper than the ATM’s rate.
If you accept, you will pay 10–12% more due to bad conversion.
